How do custom anatomical ear cuffs work? Will they fit me?

Because every ear is completely unique, the anatomical ear pieces are sculpted directly on a plaster mould of your ear. This ensures the jewelry sits like a second skin: gently resting along the natural curves of your ear without slipping or pinching.

During your second visit at my Tallinn studio, I will make any necessary adjustments to ensure comfort and I’ll show you how to put it on. People often find it surprising how custom-fitted ear jewelry feels when worn.

What is the studio ear moulding process like? Is it messy?

Not at all! The moulding process is a clean and fast process. I will provide a protective cover for your hair and an earplug to keep your ear completely safe. If you have long hair, it is best to put it into a ponytail (I will have extra hair pins just in case!).

To take the impression, I use dental alginate: a gentle, skin-safe material. It goes on as a cool paste, sets in just a few minutes and peels away smoothly.

Silver filigree looks so delicate. Is it durable enough for daily wear?

While filigree jewelry is visually intricate, it is also remarkably resilient. Every piece I make undergoes quality checks to ensure no weak points. For everyday wear and accidental drops, the filigree jewelry is solid and built to last.

The silver possesses a natural slight flexibility, allowing you to bend it slightly for the initial comfortable fit. However, repeatedly bending the metal back and forth should be avoided.

How do I clean filigree jewelry and keep my sterling silver from tarnishing?

Sterling silver naturally oxidizes when exposed to moisture, sweat, perfumes, and humidity. To keep your silver jewelry like new:

  • Occasional cleaning: Wash your pieces in warm water with mild dish soap. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush to gently clean the filigree crevices, then pat dry.
  • Removing tarnish: For a deeper clean, use a specialized silver polishing cloth. For filigree with its fine crevices, a gentle silver dip works wonders.
  • Storage: When not worn, store your jewelry in its original box or bag to protect it.
  • Best practice: Apply perfumes and hairspray before putting on your jewelry, and remove your silver pieces before showering or swimming.

What happens if my custom piece needs adjustments? Can I return jewelry?

For Tallinn studio clients: a comfortable fit is the goal. During your pickup appointment in Tallinn, we fit the bespoke piece together. If any micro-adjustments are needed, I will adjust the silver in the studio until it fits perfectly before you take it home.

For remote / EU orders: custom anatomical jewelry ideally requires an in-person fitting. If an exception is made and a shipped piece requires adjustment, please contact me within 14 days of receiving your order. I will guide you on securely returning it to my studio for resizing.

For non-custom pieces, you can withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of delivery.

Where do you ship, and how long does custom jewelry take to make?

All pieces are made in Estonia and I ship across the EU and EEA. If you are located outside this region, please contact me to arrange international shipping.

  • Standard collections: made to order in 2–5 business days.
  • Custom anatomical pieces: the timeline depends on your studio mould and fitting schedule in Tallinn.
  • Estimated shipping times:
    • Estonia 1–3 business days.
    • Rest of Europe 5–14 business days.
